Hasina Coming Back as Bangladesh PM?

Rabbi Alam, a close assistant to former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and vice president of the United States Awami League, expressed worry on Wednesday about the country’s current condition, claiming that Bangladesh is under attack. He also asked Muhammad Yunus, main advisor to Bangladesh’s interim administration, to “go back where he came from,” and vowed that Sheikh Hasina would return to the country as Prime Minister. Alam urged the international community to assist in the situation.

Alam also thanked the Indian government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing “safe” travel passage to Sheikh Hasina, noting that many Bangladeshi leaders are sheltered in India. “Many of our leaders are sheltered here in India, and we are very thankful to the Indian government for providing the alignment. I also congratulate PM Narendra Modi for giving a safe travel access for our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. “We thank the people of India,” Alam remarked.

“Bangladesh is under attack, and the world community must respond. A political revolt is good, but this is not what has been happening in Bangladesh. This is a terrorist uprising. Many of our leaders are safe in India, and we are grateful to the Indian government for giving the alignment. I also want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing safe travel for our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. “We thank the people of India,” he said.

“We want to ask the Bangladesh Advisor to step down and go back to where he came from,” he added. He claimed that the younger generation in Bangladesh had been “manipulated” into making a mistake. “… Sheikh Hasina is coming back as Prime Minister. The young generation has made a mistake, but that’s not their fault; they have been manipulated…,” said Alam.

A Dhaka court has also ordered the seizure of Sheikh Hasina’s home in Dhanmondi, known as “Sudhasadan.” It along with 124 bank accounts connected to her family members and other family assets. Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Ghalib issued the court’s decision in response to an application filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). Along with Hasina’s nieces Tulip Siddique and Radwan Mujib Siddique, the confiscated assets also belong to her sister Sheikh Rehana, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, and son Sajib Wazed Joy.
