Scott Edwards, captain of the Netherlands
“First of all, a little depressing. I believe we fielded and bowled extremely effectively. To their credit, Pakistan played solid batting in the end. When we reached 120, we thought the total was par and that we were still in the game. There are several possibilities available, and captaincy involves some instinct. In all three areas of the game, Bas de Leede excels. Just needed a companion to accompany him. Van Beek hasn’t been reached; we’ll evaluate this and see where it goes. We were in an excellent spot, maybe one that got away. A few wickets fell in the middle.
Captain Babar Azam of Pakistan
“We are thrilled with Hyderabad’s support for us. Our group is appreciating the kindness. Pretty happy, indeed thanks to the bowlers for a good start and the wickets we got in the middle overs. The manner Rizwan and Saud batted placed pressure on the Netherlands, and we lost three wickets as a result. Saud played effectively and established his inning. He has come a long way. We adhered to our plans, our bowlers did a great job, and Haris bowled quickly to take wickets.
