Mysterious Deaths in J&K: Nearly 200 people from Baddal village have moved to Rajouri town for continuous monitoring, strict restrictions on the movement of those who remain in the village, and surveillance by newly installed CCTV cameras. These are among the measures taken by the Jammu and Kashmir administration in response to 17 deaths and four hospitalizations in the village due to unexplained causes.
Since December 17, people from three families have perished in Baddal village in Rajouri with authorities in Jammu and Kashmir and the center trying to figure out why. Just as officials expressed concern that a baoli (water reservoir) contaminated with pesticides could be blamed for the fatalities. Three additional minors from one of the households was taken to Rajouri’s Government Medical College hospital with fever and vomiting.
Panic And Fear Grip J&K Village after Mysterious Deaths
The strange incident took the lives of eight family members including Muhammad Aslam’s six children. His daughter was the most recent to die due to the sickness on Sunday evening. The remaining two households have lost 9 members.
As panic and terror spread throughout the rural village as a result of the Mysterious Deaths, security forces were dispatched. Many villages have relocated to government facilities. Union Home minister Amit Shah created the 16-member inter-ministerial team. The team includes professionals from offices of Health and family welfare, agriculture, chemicals and fertilizers, and water resources, as well as specialists in animal husbandry food safet,y and forensic science.
Really half of the village’s 1,800 residents are now confined to contentment zones. A senior officer told the news media agency that citizens movement have been restricted.
