Sonia Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge got invited to the January 22 consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday, December 19. A team from the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, headed by Nripendra Misra and other notable individuals. They also invited former President Ram Nath Kovind, H D Deve Gowda, and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The team was unable to get an appointment because of Manmohan Singh’s deteriorating health, and it is said that Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge would not be there. Prominent figures from both political parties have indeed expressed interest in the major event that will culminate in the construction of the temple.
The trust’s secretary, Champat Rai, offered insights into the meticulously selected guest list, which included army leaders, actors, scientists, and entrepreneurs. Famous actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, and Madhuri Dixit Nene are among the invitees, who also include the Dalai Lama and Baba Ramdev, businessmen Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani, and more. Important individuals from L&T and the Tata Group are also on the list, according to an Indian Express article.
Tentative timetable and complex customs
Preliminary ceremonies are scheduled to take place before the consecration event. It will involve a march to Ayodhya’s main shrines and a washing of the god in the Sarayu River. Following the ceremony, state-by-state allocations for temple visits are included in the program, with specific consideration given to train accommodations. Governors and chief ministers, however, are not invited as per sources.
Invitations have been sent to prominent political figures like as Arvind Kejriwal, Mayawati, D Raja, and Sitaram Yechury. A top VHP leader addressed rumors that opposition politicians were not invited. Emphasizing that important figures from all political parties are involved in the strategy. Party presidents have been given priority for invites, even though the number of attendees is limited due to logistical issues.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat. And Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to speak at the function. Which is anticipated to gather about 8,000 people. The guest list celebrates the historic event’s cultural and national significance by showcasing a varied representation.
