On Monday, January 22, at the “historic” Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the “Pran Pratishtha” ceremony. He was dressed in a cream-colored dhoti and a golden kurta. Thousands of people tuned in to watch the ceremony live on television. In the meantime, thousands of visitors to Ayodhya from various backgrounds arrived to see the historic occasion. The idol of Ram Lalla revealed at Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) president Mohan Bhagwat, and Prime Minister Modi saw the unveiling of the Ram Lalla idol at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Following the hour-long ceremonies, which were presided over by Prime Minister Modi, the unveiling took place. In the meantime, temples all around the country echoed with songs, poetry, and hymns honoring Lord Ram.
PM Modi conducts rituals
On Monday, Prime Minister Modi traveled to Ayodhya to witness the dedication of the recently built Ram temple. At the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport, he touched down. Around 12:20 p.m., the ceremony started. During the Pran Pratishtha event, the Prime Minister conducted the rituals.
The Prime Minister entered the temple grounds while wearing a red dupatta that had been folded and a silver “chattar,” or umbrella. He obtained’sankalp’ for the “pran pratishtha ceremony” and proceeded to the sanctum sanctorum for the ceremonies. Later on Monday, PM Modi gave the Ram Lalla idol’s “aarti” at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya. He also conducted ‘dandvat pranam’ and ‘parikrama’ of the deity. He received blessings from “sadhus” as well.
Following the consecration of the new Ram Lalla statue at the Ayodhya shrine on January 22, Prime Minister Modi broke his 11-day fast. On January 12, the prime minister began his unique 11-day religious fast.
The message from PM Modi during Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration
PM Modi tweeted before of the event, saying, “Everyone is going to be moved by the wonderful moment of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla’s life at Ayodhya Dham. Being a member of this amazing program gives me immense joy. Salute Siya Ram.
He gave a speech to the attending dignitaries following the ceremony. He stated, “aaj hamare Ram aa gye hai (Today, our Ram has arrived)” . “Ram is not fire, but an energy…he belongs not just to us, but to everyone,” he declared, taking aim at those who had opposed the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
According to him, the building of the Ram Temple is a testament to the development of Indian society. He went on to say that the Ram temple in Ayodhya is a temple of national consciousness.
At the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inauguration, 50 instruments play “Mangal Dhwani.”
The consecration ceremony of the recently built Ram temple in Ayodhya on Monday featured a devotional “Mangal Dhwani” with fifty traditional musical instruments from around the nation. The Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, provided backing for the magnificent musical performance, which was directed by the renowned poet Yatindra Mishra of Ayodhya, according to news agency PTI.
The musical instruments showcased in the performance were the flute, dholak, and pakhawaj from Uttar Pradesh; the veena from Karnataka; the algoja from Punjab; the sundari from Maharashtra; the mardala from Odisha; the pung from Manipur; the tambura from Chhattisgarh; and the santoor from Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, there was ghatam from Andhra Pradesh, sitar from Jharkhand, santar from Gujarat, pakhawaj from Bihar, hudka from Uttarakhand, nagaswaram, tavil, and mridangam from Tamil Nadu, as well as shehnai from Delhi, ravanahatha from Rajasthan, shrikhol and sarod from West Bengal, and ghatam from Andhra Pradesh.
The Massive Pran Pratishtha ceremony
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple drew over 8,000 guests, featuring a star-studded gathering including political figures, Bollywood celebrities, and prominent business leaders. Mukesh Ambani, Lakshmi N Mittal, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Anil Ambani, and Kumar Mangalam Birla attended the event. Celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt were present, capturing moments with selfies. Hema Malini was seen dancing with Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, while special guests from cricket, film, saint society, politics, art, literature, culture, and more graced the auspicious occasion at the grand temple in Ayodhya.
