Cristiano Ronaldo Breaking Records on Youtube

Superstar player Cristiano Ronaldo has over 112.5 million X, 170 million Facebook, and 636 million Instagram followers, giving him an enormous global impact on social media. However, Ronaldo has begun his career as a content creator, taking the first step by starting his YouTube channel ‘UR Cristiano’, after dominating the game of football for almost two decades.

A teaser trailer, a fun quiz game with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, and a video of Ronaldo seeing his wax figure at Madame Tussauds were among the videos that the channel released on August 21. The “UR Cristiano” channel became the first YouTube channel to reach one million subscribers in the first two hours, shattering other records in the process.

The “UR Cristiano” channel surpassed Hamster Kombat’s previous record of over 10 million subscribers by the end of the day, having grown its subscriber base to over 6 million in just six hours. It’s interesting to note that Kombat’s channel needed more than seven days to accomplish this feat.

More than 18 million people were subscribers to Ronaldo’s channel as of the time of writing. It’s interesting to note that Lionel Messi, Ronaldo’s contemporary and eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, also has a YouTube account with 2.27 million followers as of right now, despite the channel’s debut in 2006.

Thirteen videos have already been posted on the football player’s channel. In the following days, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Cristiano Ronaldo—who currently plays for the Saudi Arabian team Al-Nassr—break a number of further records on YouTube.

“Real Ronaldo” Behind the Scenes

Ronaldo has begun to submit videos to his channel, promising his followers that he will share some behind-the-scenes looks so that they can also see the “real Cristiano Ronaldo.” Along with his oldest kid, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., Cristiano will also be featured on the channel with his wife, Georgina Rodriguez.

Prior to the creation of Cristiano’s channel, MrBeast held the record for the quickest 10 million subscriber acquisition, having done so in 132 days. With 311 million subscribers to date, he is presently the most popular user on YouTube. But with Ronaldo easily breaking Mr. Beast’s record, things might soon change.

Reaching 1 billion social media followers

Ronaldo also surpasses well-known sportsmen like Lionel Messi (2.5m) and Tom Brady (47k).
Even though Ronaldo’s YouTube channel is gaining popularity, he already has a sizable following on Facebook (170 million), Instagram (636 million), and Twitter (112.6 million). He is on the verge of amassing one billion social media followers, which is remarkable for an athlete.
