CID which was created by B.P. Singh, debuted on Sony entertainment television in January 1998 and ran until October 2018. With an Astounding total of 1547 episode over it’s 20 year run, it became one of India’s longest running television programs.

What caused CID to stop airing?
The well known characters from the program disclosed why the drama didn’t have a happy conclusion in an interview with Lakshya Maheshwari. Due to internal politics we show was cancelled after 21 years. “The show was sabotaged somewhere,” Dayanand stated. “It began in 2016, and gradually, individuals applied asafoetida to trees that should not be cut down, such a tree in the middle of the road. Thus, it dies by itself.”
