Volvo EX60 Electric SUV

Volvo EX60 electric SUV due in 2026. Autocar UK says this will be Volvo’s first model based on an entirely new platform that is both highly scalable and incorporates next-generation computing technology.

Volvo EX60 is a key model for the brand.

The new SUV will become an important model in Volvo’s move to go all-electric, sitting as the full electric version of its popular XC60 family SUV that has been a consistent bestseller for Swedish brand.

Actually, the only thing we know about the new SUV is its name. In size, the EX60 will be about equal with an XC60 and it will share much of its design cues with a smaller sized EX30 as well as most designs from Volvo’s just updated SUV flagship–the only model still left to acquire Volvo’s latest family face.

This will be the first Volvo built on mega casting, a technology to be launched with SPA3 that makes it possible for all sections of the car to be the same part rather than multiple elements. In addition to other editing and the re-factorized nature of SPA3, this will also reduce production costs.

By volume, Volvo sources its C40 recharge and XC40 EVs. The new EX line-up of electric SUVs has yet to be spawned by the brand.
