Suzuki claims that this engine will significantly improve efficiency and torque—Japalso offers a mild-hybrid setup that adds around 3bhp and 60Nm of torque with its DC motor. Whether Suzuki will bring the mild hybrid setup to India remains to be seen. The efficiency figure of the standard version is 23.4kmpl, while on the mild-hybrid version it is 24.5kmpl.

In India, Maruti is likely to launch the new Swift first. The Swift has been spotted testing and should actually launch today, September 15th. Although the new Dzire has not been spied on yet, we believe it will follow a few months after the Swift sells. What about the pricing?
