The recently unveiled Defender Octa V8 is available for order and will not be a standalone model in this class, with just 150 examples earmarked to head to India.
That’s just partial model spec allocation rationalization from the sound of it. We’re told only top-selling engines have stayed on sale by our dealer sources. Defender remains a full import and is not built locally like the sister brand flagships Range Rover (one) and Sport. Land Rover has also started deliveries of the locally assembled Range Rover Sport from today onwards.
