What is the Kumbh Mela?

Massive police deployment in Maha Kumbh 2025

According to Maha Kumbh DIG Vaibhav Krishna, police have been stationed at all Shivalayas across the fair to manage the rush on the final day. “Police officers have been posted around the bathing ghats… The entire area has been labelled a vehicle-free zone. Traffic will be managed using the zone method across the Kumbh area. People who are coming should follow the police diversion. The police are doing this for their convenience,” he told the news agency.
