Poco is all set to announce its first tablet in the Indian market, Pad 5G, and has announced that it will launch on Flipkart at noon tomorrow. The Pad 5G is already available in a few markets, and the Indian variant may share its specs with the global version. Xiaomi’s Chinese smartphone brand shared, “POCO Pad 5G to be offered at segment-leading features under Rs 24,000” before the launch, suggesting Indian pricing for this upcoming tablet device.
Poco Pad 5G: What to expect
Pad 5G will come with a large 12.1-inch screen that supports the same aspect ratio of 16:10. The phone will be able to support a 120Hz refresh rate on the display panel with a peak brightness of up to nits. Vis-à-vis the display, the Poco Pad tablet would come equipped with a quad-speaker set-up and a 3.5mm audio jack, per reports. To top things off, the tablet will also allow for Dolby Vision HDR viewing and formats with support for watching movies or listening to musical pieces.
Under the hood, Powering this Pad 5G is a Qualcomm Snapdragon Soc gen today’s processor coupled with up to gigabytes of RAM and storage. The tablet will run on a battery of 10,000mAh that supports 33W wired charging. As for the cameras, the Poco Pad would have an 8MP rear sensor and an 8MP front-facing camera.
The tablet will launch with a few accessories, including the Poco Smart Pen and Poco Keyboard.
