Ayodhya Ram Mandir ceremony: Central government-run hospitals in Delhi have announced that they will be closed on January 22 until 2:30 p.m. The Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in Ayodhya, has caused the central hospitals—AIIMS, Delhi, Safdarjung Hospital, and Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital—to declare that they will be closed on Monday.
The leaders of the INDIA group expressed disapproval for the hospitals being closed during the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha celebration. A formal announcement from AIIMS, Delhi states that the federal government has set aside January 22nd as a half-day holiday, lasting till 2:30 pm.
“All staff are notified that the institute will be closed for a half-day on January 22 until 2:30 pm. It stated, “It is requested that all Chiefs of Centres, Heads of Departments, Units, and Branch Officers notify all employees who work under them of this… all critical clinical services shall remain functional,” it said.
Opposition leaders poked fun at the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India when hospitals in Delhi. Including AIIMS, Safdarjung, and Ram Manohar Lohia, decided to close at 2.30 p.m. on January 22. They cited Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Criticism from Opposition on AIIMS Declaring 22 Jan Half Day
Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Shiv Sena (UBT) MP, responded to the notification by saying, “Hello humans.” If you must get medical attention on the 22nd, please postpone it until after 2 p.m. As AIIMS Delhi will be closed to celebrate the arrival of Maryada Purushottam Ram. “I wonder if Lord Ram would concur that health services are interrupted to welcome him,” she continued. “Hey Ram, Hey Ram!”
Priyanka Chaturvedi stated in a different post that RML has joined the list. For those who question the significance of the issue, I ask you to visit the emergency rooms and outpatient departments. Of these hospitals to see how patients from far towns wait days. Rather than just a few hours, to receive advice or treatment.”
All appointments are being rescheduled, and vital clinical services will continue to operate. According to a report from an AIIMS official. Rajya Sabha MP Saket Gokhale of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) asserted that “literally people sleeping outside in the cold at AIIMS gates waiting for an appointment.” Gokhale remarked, “The sick and dying can wait because Modi’s desperation for cameras & PR is given priority.”
Shama Mohamed, a spokesman for the Congress, also took issue with the decision. She posted on X, saying, “It is unbelievable that patients’ lives are in jeopardy, simply because @narendramodi wants unbroken coverage of his political event.”
A Safdarjung Hospital circular states that on January 22, OPD service registration would take place between 8 and 10 a.m. “The Outpatient Department of the Hospitals shall function on Monday. With patient registration from 8-10 am and all registered patients should be attended to,” stated a circular issued by Lady Hardinge Hospital in the meantime.
